San Marino, 11 August – Destination Republic of San Marino. San Marino is one of the world’s smallest and oldest Republics. It was established in 301AD by a stonemason Marinus, a Christian who came to Italy from the Dalmatian coast to escape persecution from Emperor Diocletian.
